Jean Lee, President, Executive Director of APAHC – the Housing Consortium, Children’s Hope Intl/ R & R Family Ctrs and the family’s farming and livestock business in Minnesota since the 1970s. A fmr. Fortune 500 corporate auditor and executive in finance and marketing, experience included wholesale and retail sales of crops and produce, and food processing. Growing tropical fruits and vegetables started in the 1950s. Jean’s nonprofits do legal advocacy, legislation, housing/health/social services including addressing the needs of farmers in these areas. Jean’s worked on specific agricultural legislation, appropriations, programs, education, training and opportunities for emerging farmers, specializing in cultural and diverse populations and issues. Jean’s been involved in Import and export trade of agricultural products, specializing in Asia and businesses doing trade with Asia and Asian businesses.
Jean’s experience includes numerous boards, commissions, committees and task forces, and founding several nonprofits and for profits. Jean has presented at local, state, national and international conferences. Jean’s currently working on innovations, food sustainability, and helping entrepreneurs and emerging businesses build capacity. Jean is an Ambassador for the Greater MSP, heads the Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce, and is involved with other Chambers of Commerce, various coalitions and boards.
